Music Clubs

The keyboard club is open to all junior children and runs at lunchtimes: - Wednesday for years 5 and 6 and Thursday for years 5 and 6. The children are taught to play using chords and they learn to read music.  They have the opportunity to play once a term in the school concerts. The only requirement for joining is that they have their own keyboard (preferably with batteries) and are willing to come to lessons regularly.

Junior children can join the choir. Once they have joined they are expected to stay in the choir for the whole term.  The choir not only perform in the end of term concerts but also have the opportunities to sing locally at other venues and occasionally to attend concerts in London.

Ukulele club currently runs for children in years 4 – 6. The children need to have their own ukuleles and learn as a group.

Instrumental lessons

EMS (Enfield Music Service) provides lessons in various instruments – at the moment a tutor comes in to provide guitar lessons.  They also run music clubs and choirs for children starting from the age of 5.  If you would like any more information about EMS activities then you can contact them directly on 0208 807 8881, or come in and speak to Mrs Sawkins, the music co-ordinator.
